Micro Glass Cells are precision glass capillary tubes ideal for viewing microscopic objects in two optical planes. Capillary action wicks and holds the sample inside the lumen. Samples can be retained for future reference by sealing or cementing the open ends. Special sizes and profiles available upon request.
Standard Micro Glass Slides are precision glass capillary tubes, made from 33 expansion borosilicate glass, that are ideal for viewing microscopic objects in two optical planes. Capillary action wicks and holds the sample inside the lumen. Samples can be retained for future reference by sealing or cementing the open ends.

Borosilicate Square and Rectangular Tubing from Friedrich & Dimmock is manufactured using proprietary processes that yield smooth, pristine lumens. Stock tubing exhibits inner dimensional precision approaching +/- 2.0 %. The tubing is available in 1ft, 2ft, 4ft, and custom lengths. Product code numbers designate inner dimensions and wall thickness.
Friedrich & Dimmock also welcomes your drawings or prints detailing your requirements for custom profiles, mixed geometries, and multiple lumens. Additional processing includes, but is not limited to, grinding, polishing, hole drilling, hot forming, and etching.

HLQ-200 Heraeus Optics Quartz Tubing is produced in a single step process and is available in a wide variety of diameters and wall thicknesses. This process yields tubing that is airline free and high in homogeneity. Because no die or mandrel is used the tube surfaces are smooth and pristine. These features make HLQ-200 tubing the first choice of glassblowers for scientific apparatus, semiconductor products, and other commercial applications. Standard length is 4 foot long. Friedrich & Dimmock can also provide custom shaped Quartz Tubing & Rod to your most demanding print. Mixed geometries (square, hexagonal, rectangular,etc.) with single or multiple lumens, micro capillaries to sub micron tolerances, and CNC machining is available.
 Borosilicate Glass Heavy Wall Precision Capillary Tubing is available in wide variety of ID's and OD's. These tubes can also be fabricated in Quartz or Suprasil. Mutiple bores, with precise center to center distances, can also be produced to your print. Special profiles, e.g. square, triangular, or rectangular bores with round, square or rectangular OD's can be produced for your specific needs. Need a round OD with a locating flat? Not a problem! Tubes can be ground, polished and CNC machined to suit your needs.
TO8 Commercial Quartz from Heraeus Optics - this premium quartz material exhibits high homogeneity, low hydroxyl content, and low bubble content.
Friedrich & Dimmock also can redraw or grind & polish this material to your demanding OD tolerances. Shapes other than round can be produced by drawing or CNC machining e.g. round OD w/locating flat(s), hexagonal, square, plano ground etc.
